==Usage Types== Branding can be divided into several types based on its purpose and the context in which it is used. These are as follows: ===Corporate Branding=== Corporate branding is about promoting the brand name of a corporate entity, as opposed to specific products or services. The activities and thinking that go into corporate branding are different from product and service branding because the scope of a corporate brand is typically much broader. ===Personal Branding=== Personal branding is the conscious and intentional effort to create and influence public perception of an individual by positioning them as an authority in their industry, elevating their credibility, and differentiating themselves from the competition, to ultimately advance their career, increase their circle of influence, and have a larger impact. ===Product Branding=== Product branding is the unique design, sign, symbol, words, or a combination of these, employed in creating an image that identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors. ===Geographical Branding=== Geographical branding is the practice of using the name of a place to brand a product. This can be done to give the product a certain image, or to signify that it comes from a place that is associated with high quality. ===Cultural Branding=== Cultural branding refers to the use of symbols, icons, and personalities from a nation's or a region's culture to assist in promoting a brand.
