==Usage Types== Affiliate marketing is commonly used in a variety of ways to achieve different business objectives. ===Pay Per Click (PPC)=== In this model, affiliates are paid for every click that they drive to the advertiser's website. This is often used when the goal is to drive traffic to a site. ===Pay Per Sale (PPS)=== In the PPS model, affiliates are paid a percentage of the sale when a visitor completes a purchase. This is used when the objective is to increase sales of a particular product or service. ===Pay Per Lead (PPL)=== With PPL, affiliates are paid when visitors complete a specific action, such as signing up for a newsletter or filling out a form. This is commonly used when the goal is to generate leads for the business.
